The Original Cashmere Wrap…

Anise Cashmere was founded by Annie Rees-Smith 17 years ago. Annie’s family – husband and two children – live in Gloucestershire. As the children started school in 2004, Annie noticed a gap in the market for something easy to wear, that was effortless and stylish. The original Cashmere Wrap was born!

Having worn cashmere for many years, Annie was keen to use the finest quality cashmere, made in Scotland, where Scotland is renowned for being the “cashmere capital of the world”. Annie approached a number of Scottish mills, and now works with a well established family run business founded in the early 1950s in Hawick, Scotland. Run also as a family business for over three generations, this Mill has a reputation that has been built upon the principles of service and quality. Hawick has long been known for it’s knitwear manufacturing tradition, going back to 1771 when the first stocking frame arrived in town.

Supplying many different couture houses, The Mill has remained a traditional Scottish company, manufacturing all it’s products in Hawick. Annie visits the Mill regularly, and maintains a close working relationship with the team.

Knitted in 100% 3 Ply pure cashmere, the Wraps have all the understated style of an item of clothing that exudes a lifestyle quality, to be experienced and enjoyed every day with unparalleled luxury, warmth, softness and durability.

The Wrap can be worn all year round. In the Summer they are fantastic for outside evenings, from a barbecue to a picnic opera, and in the cooler months even over a short jacket as an extra layer.
